πŸ“– How to Read the Bible and Actually Understand It

You want to read the Bible, but let’s be honest — it can feel confusing, overwhelming, or even boring at times.

The problem isn’t the Bible.

The problem is that most people were never taught how to read it.

This isn’t just a book — it’s God speaking.

And He didn’t write it to confuse you.

He wrote it to change you.

πŸ“– Step 1: Start with the Right Heart

You’re not reading a textbook — you’re meeting with God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes before you start.

“Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law.” – Psalm 119:18

Approach it with hunger, humility, and expectation.

πŸ” Step 2: Start in the Right Place

Don’t begin in Leviticus or Revelation.

Start with the Gospel of John — it reveals who Jesus is.

Then read:

  • Matthew, Mark, or Luke
  • The Book of Acts
  • Romans (to understand salvation)
  • Proverbs or Psalms for daily wisdom

✍️ Step 3: Ask the Right Questions

As you read, ask:

  • What does this say about God?
  • What does this reveal about me?
  • Is there a command to obey?
  • Is there a promise to trust?
  • How does this point me to Jesus?

🧠 Step 4: Read Slowly — and Repeatedly

You don’t need to read 10 chapters a day.

One chapter deeply understood is better than five skimmed.

Write things down. Look up words.

Pray over what you read.

Come back to it again tomorrow.

πŸ“š Step 5: Let Scripture Interpret Scripture

Confused by a verse? Don’t guess.

Cross-reference it. Use a Bible app or study Bible.

God’s Word never contradicts itself — it explains itself.

⚠️ Don’t Just Read It — Obey It

“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” – James 1:22

The Bible wasn’t meant to stay on a page.

It was meant to transform your life.

πŸ•Š️ Final Word:

You don’t need a degree to understand the Bible.

You need a willing heart and the Holy Spirit.

Open it. Read it. Apply it.

Let God speak — and never stop listening.

πŸ€• Why Forgiveness Is Important — Spiritually, Emotionally, and Practically

Forgiveness isn’t easy—but it’s essential. Not just for the person who hurt you, but for your own freedom, healing, and relationship with God. 1. Because God Commands It Jesus didn’t leave forgiveness as a suggestion. He made it clear: “If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” —Matthew 6:15 When we forgive, we are obeying God and reflecting His mercy. As believers, we forgive because we’ve been forgiven. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” —Ephesians 4:32 2. Because Unforgiveness Holds You Prisoner Holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. It eats at your peace. It feeds resentment. It blocks joy. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay—it means you’re choosing not to let it control you anymore. 3. Because It Sets You Free Forgiveness doesn’t change the past, but it transforms your present. It...

♥️ What Real Love Looks Like

Love is a word we hear every day—sung in songs, spoken in vows, printed on cards—but rarely do we stop to ask: What is real love? The World’s Version vs. God’s Version The world defines love as a feeling—fleeting, emotional, often self-centered. But the Bible flips that on its head. Love, according to God, is not just about how we feel. It’s about how we choose to act. It’s selfless. It’s sacrificial. It’s holy. “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (ESV) That kind of love doesn’t come naturally. It comes supernaturally. The kind of love that forgives the unforgivable, serves without expecting anything back, and lays down its life for others—that’s the love God poured out on the cross. Jesus: The Perfect Picture of Love The greatest example of love the world has ever known is Jesus Christ. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect before loving us. “But God shows his love for us in that while we wer...
