The Truth Behind the Third Eye

 “Open your third eye.”

It sounds spiritual. Enlightening. Mysterious.

But what if the truth behind it isn’t what you’ve been told?

🌌 The Rise of the “Third Eye” Movement

You see it all over social media—posts about awakening your “third eye,” activating your pineal gland, and tapping into higher consciousness. It’s often packaged as harmless self-help, ancient wisdom, or a gateway to divine knowledge.

But where does this idea actually come from?

And is it something Christians should explore?

🕯️ The Occult Origins

The concept of the “third eye” comes from Eastern mysticism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and New Age spiritualism—not the Bible.

It’s closely tied to beliefs in chakra systems, kundalini energy, astral projection, and psychic powers. These practices invite people to seek hidden knowledge, inner divinity, and power apart from the God of the Bible.

In fact, the third eye is often described as the gateway to the spiritual realm—and that’s exactly the problem.

🚨 The Spiritual Danger

The Bible is clear: not all spiritual experiences come from God.

“Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”

— 2 Corinthians 11:14 (NLT)

Opening your “third eye” may seem like gaining insight, but it’s a counterfeit light.

It opens the door to deception, pride, spiritual confusion, and demonic influence.

It is, in many cases, a modern version of what the serpent offered Eve:

“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God…”

— Genesis 3:5 (NLT)

Satan’s lie hasn’t changed. He still tempts people to bypass God and pursue self-glorification under the guise of wisdom.

🔎 What Does God Say About Eyes Being Opened?

Scripture does talk about eyes being opened—but it’s always God who opens them.

“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given…”

— Ephesians 1:18 (NLT)

We don’t open our own eyes.

We don’t awaken ourselves through meditations or rituals.

God is the one who gives true spiritual sight.

💡 The True Light Is Jesus

Jesus didn’t say, “Look within.”

He said,

“I am the Light of the World.” (John 8:12)

When we pursue spiritual experiences apart from Christ, we are walking in darkness—even if it feels good, positive, or enlightening.

The enemy often presents darkness as light, which is why discernment is critical. The Holy Spirit gives truth, peace, and clarity—not confusion, pride, or strange encounters.

🙏 If You’ve Messed with the Third Eye…

If you’ve experimented with third eye practices, crystals, chakras, or similar spiritual things—God offers grace.

Repent.

Renounce what you opened the door to.

Ask Jesus to cleanse you and fill you with His Spirit.

🕊️ Pray This:

“Jesus, I turn away from every spiritual practice that isn’t from You. I renounce anything I’ve done to open myself to false light or hidden knowledge. I only want You, the true Light of the world. Open the eyes of my heart to know You more. Cleanse me. Fill me. Lead me in truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

📖 Final Thought:

You don’t need your third eye opened.

You need your heart opened to the truth of the Gospel.

Everything you’re searching for—peace, identity, purpose, power—

Is only found in Jesus.

🎬 K-Pop Demon Hunters Is Not Christian Content — Let’s Be Clear

Last night, I sat through K-Pop Demon Hunters. Not by choice—someone else wanted to watch it. But afterward, I felt the need to speak up. Because there’s been some confusion about this movie being “Christian” or “spiritual” in a good way. Let me be clear: This is not biblical. This is not Christian. This is not godly entertainment. 💥 It Uses Demons, But Not the Bible Yes, the movie talks about fighting demons. But that doesn’t make it Christian. There’s no mention of Jesus. No gospel message. No biblical authority. No power of the Holy Spirit. Just flashy K-pop stars battling evil with glowing weapons and good vibes. That’s not spiritual warfare. That’s fantasy dressed in spiritual language. “For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” —2 Corinthians 11:14 ❌ False Light, False Power The movie gives the impression that we can fight darkness with: Friendship Positivity Inner strength A good team But the Bible says the only way to d...

🍰 Feeding My Flesh, Starving My Soul

There’s a line that hit me recently: “Feeding my flesh, starving my soul.” It’s short, but it says everything. The Battle Within The Bible tells us that the flesh and the Spirit are at war with each other (Galatians 5:16–17). Every day, we make choices—what we watch, listen to, say, and do. Each choice either feeds our flesh or feeds our soul. When we give in to sin, distractions, or comfort above Christ, we are feeding our flesh. The scary part? The more we feed it, the hungrier it gets. Meanwhile, our soul starves. Our prayers feel empty, Scripture feels distant, and joy starts slipping away. What We Feed Will Grow Romans 8:6 says, “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” That’s the truth. If we keep feeding our flesh, we’ll find ourselves restless, unfulfilled, and far from God. But when we feed our soul—through prayer, worship, reading the Word, and obeying Jesus—we grow stronger in Him. The Spirit c...

♥️ What Real Love Looks Like

Love is a word we hear every day—sung in songs, spoken in vows, printed on cards—but rarely do we stop to ask: What is real love? The World’s Version vs. God’s Version The world defines love as a feeling—fleeting, emotional, often self-centered. But the Bible flips that on its head. Love, according to God, is not just about how we feel. It’s about how we choose to act. It’s selfless. It’s sacrificial. It’s holy. “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (ESV) That kind of love doesn’t come naturally. It comes supernaturally. The kind of love that forgives the unforgivable, serves without expecting anything back, and lays down its life for others—that’s the love God poured out on the cross. Jesus: The Perfect Picture of Love The greatest example of love the world has ever known is Jesus Christ. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect before loving us. “But God shows his love for us in that while we wer...
