🎓 Life Is a School: Why Hell Isn’t God’s First Choice

I once asked God, “Why can’t we just go to a school to learn… why hell?”

Then it hit me—life itself is the school. We are being trained, corrected, and shaped every single day. God has given us opportunities to learn, to repent, to grow, and to follow His ways.

“Blessed is the man whom You discipline, O Lord, and whom You teach out of Your law.” (Psalm 94:12, ESV)

But the sobering truth is this: many people reject correction. They refuse God’s discipline, and in doing so, they are actually choosing their punishment. Scripture says, “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.” (Proverbs 12:1, ESV)

Before Jesus Came

Before Christ came, people who died went into the grave awaiting judgment. But when Jesus died and rose again, He defeated death itself and took the keys of hell.

“I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.” (Revelation 1:18, ESV)

He is the only one who could rescue us.

The Devil’s Deception

The enemy has blinded many from seeing the truth. Instead of recognizing life as training for eternity, people are deceived into chasing money, comfort, and “success” as if that were the ultimate goal.

“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:4, ESV)

Jesus Is Our Life Raft

If life is a stormy sea, then Jesus is the life raft sent to rescue us. He is our example and our way out. Without Him, we would all be lost.

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, ESV)

Something I remind myself often is this: we weren’t neutral, just waiting for a choice to make. We were already on our way to destruction because of sin.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23, ESV)

Sin ruined the human race. But in His mercy, God chose to save us.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, ESV)

Final Thought

Life is the classroom. Correction is the lesson. Jesus is the answer key. And eternity is the graduation.

Will we learn, repent, and follow Christ? Or will we reject Him and choose punishment?

The good news is—we were chosen to be saved.

“For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9, ESV)

✨ Prayer:

Lord, thank You that life itself is teaching us to depend on You. Thank You for sending Jesus to rescue us when sin had ruined us. Help me embrace Your correction, follow Your truth, and live with eternity in mind. In Jesus’ name.

🤕 Why Forgiveness Is Important — Spiritually, Emotionally, and Practically

Forgiveness isn’t easy—but it’s essential. Not just for the person who hurt you, but for your own freedom, healing, and relationship with God. 1. Because God Commands It Jesus didn’t leave forgiveness as a suggestion. He made it clear: “If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” —Matthew 6:15 When we forgive, we are obeying God and reflecting His mercy. As believers, we forgive because we’ve been forgiven. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” —Ephesians 4:32 2. Because Unforgiveness Holds You Prisoner Holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. It eats at your peace. It feeds resentment. It blocks joy. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay—it means you’re choosing not to let it control you anymore. 3. Because It Sets You Free Forgiveness doesn’t change the past, but it transforms your present. It...

♥️ What Real Love Looks Like

Love is a word we hear every day—sung in songs, spoken in vows, printed on cards—but rarely do we stop to ask: What is real love? The World’s Version vs. God’s Version The world defines love as a feeling—fleeting, emotional, often self-centered. But the Bible flips that on its head. Love, according to God, is not just about how we feel. It’s about how we choose to act. It’s selfless. It’s sacrificial. It’s holy. “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (ESV) That kind of love doesn’t come naturally. It comes supernaturally. The kind of love that forgives the unforgivable, serves without expecting anything back, and lays down its life for others—that’s the love God poured out on the cross. Jesus: The Perfect Picture of Love The greatest example of love the world has ever known is Jesus Christ. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect before loving us. “But God shows his love for us in that while we wer...
