🌎 From Culture to Christ – Leaving the World Behind

The world will teach you to love yourself, chase success, trust your truth, and live for the moment.

But Jesus says the opposite.

“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.” – Matthew 16:24

Following Jesus means leaving something behind — the world.

🌎 What Is “The World”?

The Bible isn’t talking about nature or people.

It’s talking about a system — a mindset — a way of living that’s ruled by sin, pride, lust, greed, and rebellion against God.

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” – 1 John 2:15

You can’t follow Jesus and blend in with the world at the same time.

❌ Culture Says:

  • “Follow your heart.”
  • “Live your truth.”
  • “You do you.”
  • “If it feels good, do it.”
  • “God knows your heart.”

That last one’s right — He does. And that should scare you if you’re still living in sin.

“The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick.” – Jeremiah 17:9

✅ Christ Says:

  • “Deny yourself.”
  • “Take up your cross.”
  • “Lose your life to find it.”
  • “Be holy, because I am holy.”
  • “If you love Me, obey My commands.”

πŸ”₯ Following Jesus Costs You the World

  • You might lose friends.
  • You might be misunderstood.
  • You might be mocked, hated, or left out.

But you’ll gain something the world can’t give — eternal life.

“What good is it to gain the whole world and forfeit your soul?” – Mark 8:36

You can’t walk with Christ and still dance with the world.

You can’t wear a cross and live in compromise.

You can’t be saved and stay the same.

Come out. Be separate. Be bold. Be His.

The world is passing away — but those who follow Jesus will live forever.

πŸ€• Why Forgiveness Is Important — Spiritually, Emotionally, and Practically

Forgiveness isn’t easy—but it’s essential. Not just for the person who hurt you, but for your own freedom, healing, and relationship with God. 1. Because God Commands It Jesus didn’t leave forgiveness as a suggestion. He made it clear: “If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” —Matthew 6:15 When we forgive, we are obeying God and reflecting His mercy. As believers, we forgive because we’ve been forgiven. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” —Ephesians 4:32 2. Because Unforgiveness Holds You Prisoner Holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. It eats at your peace. It feeds resentment. It blocks joy. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay—it means you’re choosing not to let it control you anymore. 3. Because It Sets You Free Forgiveness doesn’t change the past, but it transforms your present. It...

♥️ What Real Love Looks Like

Love is a word we hear every day—sung in songs, spoken in vows, printed on cards—but rarely do we stop to ask: What is real love? The World’s Version vs. God’s Version The world defines love as a feeling—fleeting, emotional, often self-centered. But the Bible flips that on its head. Love, according to God, is not just about how we feel. It’s about how we choose to act. It’s selfless. It’s sacrificial. It’s holy. “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (ESV) That kind of love doesn’t come naturally. It comes supernaturally. The kind of love that forgives the unforgivable, serves without expecting anything back, and lays down its life for others—that’s the love God poured out on the cross. Jesus: The Perfect Picture of Love The greatest example of love the world has ever known is Jesus Christ. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect before loving us. “But God shows his love for us in that while we wer...
