🕺When Trump Becomes an Idol (Even If You Hate Him)

In today’s divided world, Trump has become more than a man. For some, he’s a savior-like figure. For others, he’s the embodiment of all evil. But in both cases, something dangerous is happening—idolatry.

What Is Idolatry?

Idolatry is putting anything in the place of God. It’s not just about bowing to statues. It’s when your hope, fear, passion, or identity centers around anything more than Jesus.

“You shall have no other gods before me.” – Exodus 20:3

Two Sides of the Same Sin:

1. Idolizing Trump:

  • “He’s the only one who can save us.”
  • “I’ll defend him no matter what.”
  • “I trust him more than anyone.”

This makes a man your source of hope and strength—when God alone should be.

2. Idolizing Your Hatred of Trump:

  • “He’s the worst thing that’s ever happened.”
  • “I can’t stop thinking or talking about him.”
  • “Everything bad in the world is his fault.”

This turns your enemy into your god—because you let him control your emotions, thoughts, and attention.

“Do not put your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.” – Psalm 146:3

The Devil Loves Both Extremes

The Bible says:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood…” – Ephesians 6:12

Our real battle is spiritual, not political. Satan doesn’t care whether you idolize or demonize—as long as it keeps you from worshiping Jesus.

A Prayer of Repentance

Lord, if I’ve placed Trump in a place You should be—either through loyalty or hatred—forgive me. Teach me to see clearly. Let me be shaped by truth, not politics. Help me put my trust in You alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Final Thought:

Support truth, but don’t worship personalities. Reject evil, but don’t be consumed by rage. Preach the Gospel—not political gospels.

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” – Colossians 3:2

🤕 Why Forgiveness Is Important — Spiritually, Emotionally, and Practically

Forgiveness isn’t easy—but it’s essential. Not just for the person who hurt you, but for your own freedom, healing, and relationship with God. 1. Because God Commands It Jesus didn’t leave forgiveness as a suggestion. He made it clear: “If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” —Matthew 6:15 When we forgive, we are obeying God and reflecting His mercy. As believers, we forgive because we’ve been forgiven. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” —Ephesians 4:32 2. Because Unforgiveness Holds You Prisoner Holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. It eats at your peace. It feeds resentment. It blocks joy. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay—it means you’re choosing not to let it control you anymore. 3. Because It Sets You Free Forgiveness doesn’t change the past, but it transforms your present. It...

♥️ What Real Love Looks Like

Love is a word we hear every day—sung in songs, spoken in vows, printed on cards—but rarely do we stop to ask: What is real love? The World’s Version vs. God’s Version The world defines love as a feeling—fleeting, emotional, often self-centered. But the Bible flips that on its head. Love, according to God, is not just about how we feel. It’s about how we choose to act. It’s selfless. It’s sacrificial. It’s holy. “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (ESV) That kind of love doesn’t come naturally. It comes supernaturally. The kind of love that forgives the unforgivable, serves without expecting anything back, and lays down its life for others—that’s the love God poured out on the cross. Jesus: The Perfect Picture of Love The greatest example of love the world has ever known is Jesus Christ. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect before loving us. “But God shows his love for us in that while we wer...
